Make Healthy Eating Easy!

Are you struggling to find healthy recipes you can prepare quickly and easily - and that your family will actually eat?

Discover how simple it is to take fresh, wholesome ingredients and turn them into nourishing meals that are so delicious, you won’t believe they’re actually good for you!

Caroline’s dilemma

Caroline knew she had to prioritise making healthy meals: her teenage son had just been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, and she wanted to do everything she could to protect his health.

Her first big problem was, she had never really learned to cook, and didn’t particularly enjoy it because her family’s response to the meals she made was frequently lukewarm at best.

She also worked long hours and simply didn’t have time to waste experimenting on recipes that don’t turn out.

On top of this, she had read so many contradictory opinions about nutrition for diabetics that she didn’t know which way was up. Confused and disempowered, she found the lure of take-away and heat-and-serve meals from the supermarket hard to resist, although deep down she knew these weren’t good choices for her son - or for the whole family.

Imagine…

  • Feeling empowered and inspired to make healthy meals ‘from scratch’ in less time than it takes to order and pick up take-away, knowing that they’ll taste awesome and be eaten with gusto!
  • Coming home after work and actually enjoying preparing a meal. Your partner and children smile as they gobble up the food and ask for seconds because it’s so good!
  • Walking down the produce aisle when you’re grocery shopping, and everything you see there fills you with ideas for more delicious and easy meals.
  • The deep satisfaction of seeing your whole family gaining vitality and losing excess weight - and knowing that it’s because of what you’re cooking up for them every day.

Why is it so hard to eat healthfully?

Caroline had been reading books and attending seminars on healthy living for years.

She knew a lot of facts about nutrition, but failed to apply what she’d learned because of her busy lifestyle and lack of cooking skills.

Like Caroline, you may be frustrated because you have a lot more information than implementation. The ‘knowledge trap’ can ensnare you in a number of different ways:

For starters, much of what you read about nutrition and health in popular magazines, newspapers and of course on the Internet, is confusing and contradictory. Should you eat low-carb/high-protein, low-fat/high-carb, gluten-free, Paleo, all-raw….? Many people bounce from one diet plan to the next, hoping the next fad will be ‘the answer’ for them. Others just give up trying to choose which is the healthiest option and just eat whatever they feel like.

Secondly, an awful lot of what masquerades as ‘information’ is uninformed opinion with no factual basis. Some of the most popular books on healthy eating and weight loss, such as those devoted to the Blood Type Diet, are breathtakingly devoid of any scientific foundation.

Likewise, many nutrition websites and blogs contain advice that is outdated, misleading, commercially biased or just plain wrong. Unfortunately, it’s virtually impossible to sort the wheat from the chaff if you don’t have a background in nutritional biochemistry and human physiology!

Worse yet, your doctor is highly unlikely to be able to give you accurate guidance on nutrition matters. Nutrition isn’t a required subject in any medical school in Australia, so most doctors know less about it than their patients do. And sadly, the only nutrition ‘education’ most doctors receive after they graduate is in the form of articles in doctors’ magazines written by dietitians employed by the meat, egg and dairy industries!

On top of this, the messages you get from advertising, and from the culture at large, are that healthy foods are boring and bland and take ages to prepare… and your kids won’t eat them anyway; while unhealthy foods are fun, fast, and make you and your family happy.

With all these obstacles in the way of getting accurate information and then applying it, no wonder so many people are tired, overweight, unwell and unhappy.

But you don’t have to be yet another victim of disempowerment and misinformation!

Just as Caroline did, you can turn your eating habits - and your whole family’s - around by following these steps:

  • 1

Get accurate information on how your body works and how the foods you eat affect it, and acquire tools for distinguishing trustworthy information sources from hogwash.

  • 2

Discover how to tailor meal plans to your needs - and those of each of your family members - at every stage of life.

  • 3

Master time- and energy-saving techniques that make cooking simple and fuss-free.

  • 4

Learn how to prepare foods for maximum nutritional benefit, so you extract every bit of goodness from them.

  • 5

Get insider tips on how to make combine and prepare nutritious ingredients to make them so yummy, your kids won’t know it’s ‘health food’!!

Now, I can guess what you're thinking at this point:

'I’m already too busy!!! How am I going to find the time to do all that health and nutrition research, trawl through cookbooks and recipe blogs to find the right recipes, road-test the recipes on my kids... I'm exhausted just thinking about it!'

Well, what you really need is a simple and fast shortcut.

Are you ready to start your kitchen revolution?

In the 6-week Healthy Eating - for Life! course, Caroline learned everything she needed to know and do to look after not just her son’s health, but her whole family’s. She finished every class with a clear road-map of the changes she would be implementing in her family’s diet that week. Making these changes step-by-step rather than all at once kept her out of overwhelm and built her confidence. And it didn’t take months of online research, thousands of dollars worth of nutrition courses or countless headaches resulting from recipe failures!

Caroline was so inspired by the nutrition tips given with each recipe, that now when she goes grocery shopping, she recites in her mind what she learned about each fruit, vegetable, legume, grain, nut and seed as she puts it into her trolley - her way of reminding herself WHY she now shops and cooks in a whole new way.

The response from her family has been overwhelmingly positive - her husband, son and daughter took to the new recipes with gusto. As she wrote,

“I am not a great cook, but these recipes have shown me simple and easy steps to be able to stick permanently to a healthy diet plan for myself and my family.”

Just like Caroline did, you can master the art of making healthy meals that taste amazing... and reap the rewards: vibrant health for you and your family now and protection against chronic degenerative diseases in the future; and compliments from your family and friends as you serve them meals that don’t just taste good, but are good for them!
