I came to see Robyn for help with breaking my bad habits around food. I was really struggling with disordered and compulsive eating, which was complicated by being a competitive athlete. I had lots of questions and concerns about how to best nourish myself for maximum energy and athletic performance. And on top of all that, I have polycystic kidney disease, and wanted to know how to optimize my health in the face of this incurable condition.
I had seen other practitioners in the past, but three things sold me on Robyn: Firstly, her high level of scientific enquiry and understanding, and the evidence based approach that she takes. After working with Robyn for less than 6 months, I now rarely engage in any compulsive and habitual thinking and behaviours around eating. I’m far less stressed about food. And after years of restricting my food intake to try to control my weight, by following Robyn’s advice I’ve now lost a bit under 10% of my body weight and am edging closer to my target weight for optimal athletic performance.
