Comprehensive support for people with cancer

  • Have you just been diagnosed with cancer, and you're still reeling with shock?
  • Are you about to start chemotherapy or radiation therapy?
  • Have you finished treatment, and now you want to know what to do to stop the cancer from coming back?

Taking charge of your own physical and emotional health will make your treatment more effective and less difficult, and increase your chance of staying cancer-free when treatment ends. Read on...

CANCER. Even the word has the power to strike fear into your heart. When you, or someone you care about, is diagnosed with cancer, it's like being hit by a truck travelling at 100 miles an hour.

My own encounter with cancer in my family (see story below), and my observation of the terrible - and needless - suffering endured by people who are not receiving nutritional and psychological support during cancer treatment, prompted me to specialise in providing comprehensive care to people undergoing treatment for cancer, and their families.

I provide:

  • Detailed nutritional guidelines to maximise your body's ability to recover from surgery, and tolerate radiation and chemotherapy; and to mobilise your body's own ability to defeat the cancer;
  • Information on nutritional supplements and herbal medicines that have been demonstrated to reduce the side-effects of the specific medical therapies you are undergoing; increase their effectiveness; and boost your body's own cancer-fighting ability;
  • Guidance on exercise, rest and sleep during and after treatment, and assistance (using nutritional supplementation and EFT) with problems that arise with sleep;
  • Relief (using EFT) of the emotional and psychological problems that frequently accompany a cancer diagnosis, and the treatment process itself: fear, anger, anxiety, guilt, helplessness, powerlessness, depression, mental fatigue, and so on;
  • A holistic recurrence prevention program, once your treatment is finished, incorporating diet, exercise, supplementation, sleep and maintaining peace of mind.

All of my guidance on diet and lifestyle factors, and on nutritional supplementation, is drawn from laboratory and clinical research published in reputable medical and scientific journals.

Please note that I am not a medical practitioner, and I do not treat cancer. Most of my clients with cancer opt for medical treatment; some have already chosen not to before they consult me. My job is not to dissuade or persuade, but to provide clients with scientific information, in a form they can understand, so they are empowered to make their own treatment decisions.

My family's story:

My son Mitchell was diagnosed with a highly aggressive malignant brain tumour when he was only six. He underwent surgery, radiation therapy and chemotherapy. I spent countless hours combing the scientific literature to find ways to reduce the toxicity of his treatments and increase their effectiveness - and found a veritable treasure-trove of information on diet and nutritional supplements, that Mitch's doctors were completely unaware of.

I also used EFT with him, and on myself, throughout his cancer treatment, to deal with his post-surgical pain, calm his fears and anxieties (and my own!) and activate his body's own defences against the cancer and the side-effects of treatment.

Mitch amazed all his doctors with the speed with which he recovered from surgery and his low need for pain medication. He breezed through 6 weeks of radiation with no fatigue, nausea, vomiting or skin problems. He withstood 4 months of a very tough chemotherapy protocol with very few complications. Now, more than 7 years after his diagnosis, he is tumour-free, and has not developed the long-term consequences of treatment that we were told to expect, such as hearing loss and diminished IQ.
